Accra bourse in significant gains

Accra, Dec. 12, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark indicator of the Accra Bourse made an impressive performance that saw also significant rise in total shares traded.

The Index, which rose by 47.4 points at 6,467.72 points from 6,420.32 points on Tuesday, saw 3,160,500 shares exchanging hands compared to 147,900 shares at the previous trading session. Change year to date rose at 29.20 per cent. On the broader market there were seven price changes, all positive.

Standard Chartered Bank, the highest gainer made 1.2404 GH cedis to close at 25,3660 GH cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank gained 0.0136 GH cedis at 0.9850 GH cedis, CAL Bank was 0.0090 GH cedis richer to close at 0.4300 GH cedis and Ecobank Ghana Limited made 0.0080 at 1.6910 GH cedis.

Others Guinness Ghana Limited gained 0.0044 GH cedis at 1.2201 GH cedis, Goil Ghana Limited went up by 0.0010 GH cedis to close at 0.2660 GH cedis and Unilever Ghana Limited made 0.0001 GH cedis at 2.1017 cedis.

Market capitalisation rose at 12,276.96 million GH cedis from 12,247.88 GH cedis.
