Accra bourse inches up in quiet trading

Accra, Nov. 23, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange barely inched up in quiet trading on Thursday as the bourse continued to register low traded volumes in the week.

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main stock index, gained 0.59 points at 4,974.19 points from Wednesday's 4,973.60 points.

Change to date ended at 4.30 per cent.

On the broader market, there were four price changes, all gains. British American Tobacco gained 50 cedis at 3,250 cedis, Aluworks was one cedi better at 7,151 cedis, Enterprise Insurance also gained one cedi at 8,811 cedis an Fan Milk Limited was better by two cedis at 17,007 cedis.

Total shares traded went up at 68,900 from Wednesday's 48,300 while market capitalisation was up at 112,097.25 billion cedis from 112,093.69 billion cedis.
