Stock index begins week in positive zone

Accra, Nov. 6, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) main index began the week in positive zone as it made a slight gain, although volumes were low.

The GSE All-Share Index was 0.37 points better at 4,977.99 points up from 4,977.62 points on Friday. Change for the year went up at 4.38 per cent from 4.37 per cent.

Aryton was the sole equity to make a move, a 10-cedi gain at 970 cedis.

Total shares traded were down at 38,080 from 53,500 shares on Friday but market capitalisation was up at 112,119.57 billion cedis from 111,617.28 billion cedis on Friday.
