Paint companies give 10 per cent discount

Accra, Oct. 25, GNA - Nine paint manufactures and importers in the country are offering 10 per cent discount on their products to facilitate the beautification of Accra ahead of Ghana's Golden Jubilee celebration next year.

Mr Stanley Nii Adjiri-Blankson, Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive, who made this known in a press statement in Accra on Wednesday, said the discount was part of the collaborative efforts of the City Authorities with corporate bodies to give the national capital a facelift for other important events like the biannual Cup of African Nations (CAN2008) to be staged in Ghana.

The discount on paint and paint products is effective from November 1 2006 to November 30 2006.

"The gesture is to enable residents of Accra and elsewhere to take advantage of the offer to buy paint and paint products at reduced prices to paint their buildings in conformity with Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) by-law," the statement said.

The statement appealed to residents to take advantage of the offer to make Accra clean and attractive.

The companies offering the discounts are M and K (GHANA) Limited; Ingmar Industrial Limited; Premier Steel Limited and Sikelele. The rest are Pelok Paints Limited; Hexagon Industries Limited; Bamson Company Limited; New Paint Manufacturing Company Limited and Azar Chemical Industries Limited.
