These are the news that should be on the front pages of all media houses. Statistics like these are imperative to inform the citizenry where we are now and where we have to go. It inform the public what we are doing wrong and how can better ourselves as a nation if we take certain steps. Some of the big international media houses have reported news like this in the past and the statistical service affirming it means it is imperative as a nation we focus and be bold enough to implement the policies that will have the positive impact that will change the outcome in future for the better. Statistics like these puts things in perspective for us as nation to know where we are and with the right policies we can make small incremental progress overtime which will ultimately lead to improving the economy which will in turn lift many people out of poverty. I truly hope the NDC will read this and bring a more superior policy alternative to the free shs policy to make it better and robust than the usual talk they always seem to be doing.
