The Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has assured President John Dramani Mahama of his resolve to work together with the other sector ministers to ensure that the president becomes the best in Ghana's 4th republic.
Dr. Ato Forson was sworn in together with five other ministers: the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza; Minister of Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku; and Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dominic Ayine, by President Mahama on January 22, 2025.
The president urged the ministers to go according to the mandate given to them to set the economy back on the right track.
The president reiterated his commitment to working with the newly sworn-in ministers, pledging to provide them with the support they need to serve Ghanaians effectively, while upholding principles of good governance.
During the swearing-in ceremony, he said: "The six of you hold some of the most important sectors of the economy, Ghanaians are looking up to you to bring down inflation... and keep the lights on."
Dr. Forson, in his response, noted that "We will do our best to make you the best president in the 4th republic."
