In a drive to empower customers with optimism about the digital future, Vodafone has partnered Samsung to make SMART televisions accessible to all fixed broadband customers.

This is the first of its kind in Ghana and will give such customers the opportunity to own smart televisions with bundled fixed broadband access at manageable prices whilst benefitting from live TV entertainment. This is on the back of Vodafone’s earlier partnership with Showmax and iRokoTV to offer unlimited access to a comprehensive catalogue of Hollywood and African content on TV shows, movies, kids shows and documentaries to its customers.

As part of the deal, customers will get a 40 or 43-inch Smart TV plus 240GB internet and a free 30-day Showmax trial for the next 3 months, starting at GHS2,450. The TVs come with pre-installed applications such as Showmax, Netflix, Amazon, Web Browser and an Apps store that boasts of a variety of premium news and sports channels.

Commenting on the package, Patricia Obo-Nai, Director for Consumer Fixed Business at Vodafone Ghana said:

“This is among the immediate things we are trying to do to reflect what we mean when we say the future is exciting. We are excited to partner a brand like Samsung that also understands the changing needs of the consumer. The Smart TV technology will enable households spend quality time together and will further support our vision of igniting Ghana’s digital revolution.”
