Vodafone partners CEIBs to train 70 SME owners

Vodafone Business has collaborated with China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) to train over Seventy Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) owners as part of its commitment to empowering SMEs to grow and become digitally transformative.

The beneficiaries, selected from the winners of SMEGA 2018 and loyal customers, are currently undergoing the training at the CEIBS campus at East Legon.

The training that ends in December will introduce participants to various models including Financial Management, Business Management, Innovation, Hiring and Retaining talent, Corporate Governance, Leadership and Change Management.

Speaking at the event, Alfred Nkrow, Ag. Director of Vodafone Business said:

“We are delighted with our partnership with CEIBS. For us, this unique Masterclass programme was introduced as part of a commitment to the growth of the SME industry. We believe that these participants will use the insights and learnings to transform their businesses and subsequently influence the eco-system.’’

Commenting on the initiative, Professor Matthew Tsamenyi, Executive Director of CEIBS Africa said:

“SMEs are responsible for creating jobs for a bigger percentage of the population and contribute massively to the country’s Gross Domestic Product. Providing needed insights and guidance to them is not only crucial but necessary.”

He said the importance of the Masterclass is to foster SME growth and to help address key challenges facing business owners. Participants will be presented with certificates and souvenirs from Vodafone Business Solutions.
