Vodafone Ghana "ICONS-Divas Edition" to begin audition

Accra, Nov. 25, GNA - Vodafone Ghana says auditions for its ground-breaking reality show, "ICONS-Divas Edition", would begin across the country from January 12-17, 2011 to screen and select 24 contestants. The auditions are scheduled to take place in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, and Tamale.

Mrs Carmen Bruce-Annan, Head of Corporate Communications at Vodafone Ghana, said in a statement that Vodafone Ghana was passionate about music and would do its best to empower women to make their dreams a reality. She urged women who could sing and dance, have style, talents, determination and drive to seize this opportunity to become great in future. The competition is not open to professional singers. To register for the audition, women aged 18-30 must text their names, age and preferred city to Vodafone short code 1737. The contestants then receive a text message confirming the registration which must be saved and shown at the audition venue. The grand prize at stake in the reality show includes a major recording deal, cash and an exclusive performance at '020live' Vodafone Ghana annual music spectacular.
