Vodafone Business Solutions sponsors Oxford Business Group report on Ghana

Accra, Sept 23, 11 GNA - Vodafone Ghana, in line with its brand promise of empowerment, partnered the Oxford Business Group to sponsor the official launch of the Report: Ghana 2011 at a colourful ceremony at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra recently.

Derek Appiah, Head of Vodafone Business Solutions in a statement issued and copied to the Ghana News Agency that Vodafone’s sponsorship of the launch “is an endorsement of the intensive research that the Oxford Business Group has carried out on Ghana’s economy.

“We believe that this report presents an authentic, comprehensive and accurate review on the economy and can be used as a reliable piece of information”.

He added that Vodafone Business Solutions “would not relent in its efforts to assist businesses and government make meaningful contributions to the growth of the Ghanaian economy.

Mr Appiah said support was to ensuring that Ghanaians and investors in general had information they could rely on to do business in Ghana.

The Report: Ghana 2011 is a two hundred and sixty-eight page book authored by the Oxford Business Group and which has been described by the World Bank as “the most comprehensive and accurate review on the economy”.

The report addresses mind boggling questions by interviewing top notch individuals including the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Atta Mills, James Victor Gbeho, Anand Sharma, Lord Boateng, and Kofi Yamoah among others on areas such as capital markets, politics, insurance, banking, energy, mining, agriculture, telecoms, etc.
