Vivo Energy, British Council hold SDGs forum

Vivo Energy, in partnership with the African Business Centre for Developing Education and the British Council, has put together a breakfast meeting on education in Accra on Tuesday, 18 February 2020.

The event, which was in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals, brought together stakeholders to discuss new methods and incentives meant to be used to make the study of STEM-related courses more attractive for girls.

It was also meant to create awareness for digital learning as a supplement to traditional methods of teaching and learning.

Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Deputy Minister of Education, Mr Kingsley Boakye said the ministry is bent on promoting females in the STEM sector.

He also said the ministry has outlined measures and structures to make learning and teaching easier and more lucrative for the girl-child from the primary to the pre-tertiary level.
