The Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s transport and logistics sector, pledging support for strategic proposals advanced by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana.
Delivering his message at the launch of CILT Ghana’s 60th Anniversary and fundraising event in Accra on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Deputy Minister of Transport Dorcas Affo-Toffey commended the Institute for six decades of professionalism, innovation, and policy advocacy in the industry.
“CILT Ghana has been an instrumental partner in our development drive, particularly with its dedication to upholding industry standards, capacity building, and advocating for the modernisation of the transport sector,” Joseph Nikpe noted.
He recalled a transport CEOs’ breakfast meeting hosted by the Institute earlier this year, which produced 14 strategic action points submitted to his office.
“I am pleased to affirm that these action points resonate with the Government’s Resetting Agenda. I reaffirm my unwavering commitment to ensuring their effective implementation,” he assured.

The sector minister praised the Institute’s vision and expressed confidence that the anniversary fundraising would “serve as a vital catalyst in supporting your next phase of growth.”
“As custodians of progress, we must cast our gaze to the future with hope and unwavering resolve to improve the logistics and transport value chain that underpins our nation’s development,” he added.
He congratulated CILT Ghana on its milestone and called for continuous collaboration toward building a “resilient, efficient transport ecosystem that drives Ghana’s economic prosperity and national progress.”
