Toyota Ghana Limited on Friday launched the new 2013 Recreational Active Vehicle with 4 Wheel-Drives (RAV4) with sophisticated, dynamic and strong exterior and interior designs into the Ghanaian market in Accra.
The new RAV4 possesses a new integrated dynamic drive system to improve on-road dynamic performance and deliver a more engaging driving experience. Mr Eric Darko, General Manager, Toyota Ghana limited, said the vehicle offers customers more distinctive, sophisticated styling, refined, premium-quality interior design.
He said the new interior design is to ensure the best in class roominess, increased comfort and superior luggage capacity to meet the needs of active families. He said the front bumper has been lowered in order to comply with pedestrian protection regulations and give a sporty appeal to customers.
The General Manager said in keeping with the more cockpit-like driver’s environment, the driving position of the new RAV4 has been extensively revised for improved ergonomics, greater comfort, better forward visibility and a more engaging driving experience. “The steering wheel angle has been lowered by 2.3 degrees and it is now closer to the driver by up to 38 mm,” he added.
He said the RAV4 retains all the practical, flexible versatility its customers have come to expect from the compact Sport Utility Vehicle. Mr Takahiko Takabayashi, Managing Director of Toyota Ghana Limited, said the company strives to meet international standards by aligning themselves to players in the global auto industry.
He said the company engages their engineers, Mechanics, technicians and service personnel through internationally approved auto programmes to keep them abreast with the rapid global transformation in the industry. “This effort has also placed Toyota Ghana at the top of the global auto industry,” he said.
