Total Ghana refurbishes ward for Ridge Hospital

In line with its corporate social responsibility, Total Petroleum Ghana Limited (TPGL), the leading oil marketing company in Ghana, on Wednesday handed over a GHS130,000 refurbished medical ward to the Ridge hospital in Accra.

The redecorated ward, is now officially named Total Ward, and can now boast of a modernized surgical unit, washrooms and a common or changing room.

In a brief remark, Managing Director of Total Ghana, Guillaume Larroque, said the gesture is to augment the effort of authorities in the provision of health care delivery.

While expressing joy over the successful completion of the project which started last year, Mr. Larroque entreated management of the hospital to make good use of the facility.

For his part, the Medical Director of the Ridge Hospital, Dr. Obeng-Apori, thanked TPGL for the gesture and urged other cooperate agencies to emulate.

“On behalf of the entire staff I assure Total Ghana that the facility will properly be used and with such a facility, I believe it will enhance efficiency,” he said.

A plague was unveiled in honor of TPGL for the refurbishment of the medical ward.

This was done by the Vice President of Total West Africa, Thibault de Langlais together with Dr. Obeng-Opori of the Ridge Hospital.
