Tigo Cash allows customers to pay ECG bills

Tigo Ghana in partnership with Express Pay, an e-commerce market place and payment gateway provider, has introduced payment of electricity bills using Tigo Cash.

A statement from Tigo said the move formed part of a number of efforts by Tigo Cash to create ease and convenience for customers for transactions.

It said the service was opened to both registered and non-registered Tigo Cash users and was for only post-paid customers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

Registered customers can directly make payment from their wallet through the short code *501#, while non-Tigo Cash users can visit any agent with the payment details.

The service allows a minimum amount of GH? 5.00 to a maximum of GH? 2,000.00 with a GH? 1.00 fee for all payments.

Tigo Cash has over the years pioneered many initiatives aimed at improving financial inclusion and introduced a range of products to enhance create ease and convenience for customers.
