The National Petroleum Authority has assured consumers that the supply of petroleum products will improve Tuesday, January 14.
The authority is blaming bad weather from North America and North West Europe for the shortage of the petroleum products particularly petrol which began over the weekend.
Acting Chief Executive Moses Asaga told XYZ BUSINESS that there is about 80 percent of fuel available on markets across the country.
“Overall I will say that the availability of fuel as at today is about 80 percent across the country so we are only seeing pockets of stations that have not yet gone to Tema to lift their products” Mr. Asaga said.
Mr. Asaga explained further that 70 million liters of fuel have been secured since the weekend which can last for two weeks.
