Telecommunications giant, MTN Ghana has apologized to its subscribers in Ghana for disruptions in data services and international outbound calls experienced on Thursday, January, 17.

According to a text message sent out to subscribers by the company, the fluctuations in data services was as a result of an undersea submarine fiber cut.

"Y'ello MTN sincerely apologizes for the disruptions you are experiencing with our data services and international outbound calls. This is a result of a submarine fiber cut. Our engineers are working to resolve the challenge. We regret the inconvenience caused."

The disruptions, however, were met by numerous complaints on social media by subscribers of the services provider about their inability to undertake transactions and access the internet.
