The Co-Chair of the Interim Committee of Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)-Ghana, Kobina Sam has asked all Quality Assurance Managers to ensure they gain the trust of stakeholders of their organisations.

According to him, it takes hard work and perseverance on the side of the Quality Assurance Managers to secure a strong competitive advantage for their brands.

Speaking at the 2018 World Quality Day celebrations organized by the Total Quality Management students of the UPSA graduate School in Accra, themed "The role of leaders in building trust-based quality culture", Mr. Sam said, “Every incorrect decision an organization makes has the potential to shutter this trust, if managed incorrectly it can be lost within seconds and brand reputation will be irreversibly damaged.”

According to him, the World Quality Day celebration is a good opportunity for industry players to celebrate the trust they earn from their stakeholders saying, “The importance of trust is that it enforces the culture of quality”.

In advocating for trust in stakeholders, Mr. Sam further advised Quality practitioners to adopt assurance, business improvement, operational governance, leadership and context to help build a strong organization trust among stakeholders.

“Our contribution as quality practitioners to organizational trust is very essential to meet and even exceed stakeholders’ expectations” he reiterates.
