Stock market remains inactive

Accra, Sept. 22, GNA - Trading on the Accra bourse remained dull on Thursday with only 25,800 shares changing hands. The index inched up by a mere 0.05 points at 4,884.25 points from 4,884.20 points on Wednesday.

Change for the year-to-date remained at -28.16 per cent. There were three price changes, one down and two up. Fan Milk Limited was one cedi better at 15,557 cedis and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited gained one cedi at 7,211 cedis. Mobil Oil Ghana Limited lost 12 cedis at 38,000 cedis.

Shares that changed hands were poorer at 25,800 from 120,400 shares during the previous trading.

Market capitalisation closed better at 92,145.07 billion cedis from 92,144.94 billion cedis on Wednesday from 3,393.18 issued shares.
