Star Oil opens new service station

Star Oil, an Oil Marketing Company (OMC), has opened a new service station at Saasabi-Oyibi with a call on Ghanaians to patronise indigenous businesses to grow the economy.

The company, which was formed 14 years ago, is wholly Ghanaian owned and has over the years been at the forefront of job creation choosing the rural areas as its base for operation and development.

Mr Awuku Larbi, Marketing Manager, Star Oil, said the one acre station is the company’s 47th in the Greater Accra Region and the 117th in the country.

“This station is strategically located and it answers the call for the private sector to be the engine of growth for the Ghanaian economy”.

Mr Lord Gati, an ICT consultant and guest of honour, said the oil industry was capital intensive but rewarding and called for good patronage to sustain it.

Nii Nuertey Akpo II, Saduese Mantse, appealed to the company to ensure that the pump attendants exhibit exemplary customer care and honesty in their service to the public.

Present were chiefs and elders from Dodowa,Oyibi,Saasabi and Bawaleshie.
