For more than a decade, Bernard Wowie, a telecom engineer, has been saving with Stanbic Bank. He has a penchant for saving and ensuring he is better prepared for a rainy day. His positive attitude towards savings led him to open a Pure Save Account, where he consistently deposited multiples of GHS 500.

Today, Mr. Wowie is GHS 10,000 richer as he emerged winner of the second monthly draw of the Stanbic Save to Gain Campaign.

The Stanbic “Save to Gain campaign” is a savings initiative that hopes to stimulate a savings culture among Ghanaians. By making multiple deposits of GHS 500 into a Pure Save account between April 3 and August 2, 2017, participants stand a chance of winning Stanbic branded items, iPhone 7 mobile phones, flat screen television sets, gold coins, GHS 10,000 and the grand prize of GHS 100,000.

Just like Mr. Wowie, the promise of the Save to Gain campaign became a reality to Alex Atolpaa when he deposited some money into his Pure Save account. After two months of consistent savings, Mr. Atolpaa won an LED TV in the monthly draw of the Save to Gain Campaign. He admits he was shocked and surprised when contacted as a winner.

“I deposited GHS 4, 000 into my account after I had been introduced to the “Save to Gain” campaign. I was so shocked and surprised when I was told that I had won because it’s been barely 2 months since I opened that account,” he said. “The Stanbic ‘Save to Gain’ campaign is real and Ghanaians should go for it.”
Another winner, Victor Egyin-Nyenku of the Ring Road Branch also received an iPhone 7.

These monthly draws will be carried out every month throughout the campaign period to give a chance to all depositors to be rewarded for their behavior change. Aside the Pure Save Account, Stanbic Bank has a myriad of products and services aimed at ensuring their customers’ lives are made much easier.

These include the multi-currency money wallet, unsecured personal loans and the EduPlan, which helps parents provide an uninterrupted quality education for their wards to the highest level.
