Stanbic Bank donates towards farmers' day

Accra, Dec. 2, GNA - Stanbic Bank, Ghana on Tuesday donated a double=

cabin pick-up to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture towards this year's=

farmers' day celebration, in the Eastern Region. The pick up worth GH¢ 42,000 is to be presented to the third best farmer to support his or her efforts in helping to build a better Ghana. Mr Mawukor Afadzinu, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs said th= e bank was committed towards developing and financing Agriculture in Ghana and Africa at large.

He congratulated all nominated farmers for their hard work and reiterated the bank's support throughout the celebrations. Receiving the items Mr Yaw Effah Baafi, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture in Charge of Crops commended the bank for its continuous supp= ort for agriculture. He noted that the donation would help promote agriculture and increa= se food production in the country. Mr Effah Baafi expressed gratitude to the bank for the donation and asked all stakeholders to recognise the hard work of farmers in the count= ry even after the national celebrations. 2 Dec. 10
