Springboard Road Show Foundation, organisers of the annual nationwide career and personal development tour will scale up its impact to reach a million emerging leaders by 2020.

This was made known to partners of the foundation and a section of the media during the official launch of a 100-Day countdown to the 10th edition of the Springboard Road Show in Accra.

Addressing the gathering of CEOs and prominent stakeholders at the event, Dr. Joyce Aryee who was the special guest of honour stressed the need for more companies to invest in institutions that support the efforts of government at training and empowering the youth across the nation.

"The fact that majority of the 120,000 alumni of the Road Show are already in influential positions in corporate organisations or running their own businesses shows that interventions like Springboard are a critical component of our national developmental effort," Dr. Aryee stressed.

On her part, Mrs. Comfort Ocran, Executive Director of Springboard Road Show Foundation submitted that the focus of the Foundation over the next 5 years, will be on building the capacity of the various Springboard Clubs in tertiary institutions nationwide, to effectively organise Road Shows at the district levels.

The ultimate goal will be to empower a new crop of emerging leaders and youth in the areas of entrepreneurship, savings and investment culture and emerging technology as economic enablers.

Underpinning all these will be the continuous emphasis on strong values in the quest to raise values-based leaders, committed to building a good society.

The Springboard Road Show is the brainchild of executive coaches Rev. Albert Ocran and Mrs. Comfort Ocran.

Over the past 9 editions, the Road Show has grown to become the nation's biggest career and personal development platform.

Students, young entrepreneurs and graduates across all regions of Ghana participate in the annual event which involves career guidance, one-on-one mentoring and training workshops. Millions are reached indirectly through related technological, media and social interventions birthed out of the Road Show.

Presenting the 10th edition of the event, Rev. Albert Ocran submitted that the Springboard 2016 Road Show which will be on the theme “A Decade of Transforming Lives,” will showcase the success stories of some of the alumni of the Road Show over the years.
