Setho classic engineering company CEO honoured

The Bishop Gilson University "UNITED KINGDOM" has conferred an honorary doctorate degree on Mr Seth Kwame Sallah, the Chief Executive Officer of Setho Classic Engineering Company Limited, at a special Congregation at Salavation Army in Tema.

The award was in recognition of Mr .Sallah's contribution to education, human development and his sterling leadership.

"In recognition of your phenomenal contribution to human development in Ghana; your public –spiritedness; and your support for Higher Education and Research, the University, confers on you, DOCTOR OF DIVINITY, honours" a citation stated.

In an interview after the ceremony, Mr. Sallah said he has always pursued excellence in all that he does including his Real Estate development and a host of others businesses.

He said he was greatly humbled by the conferment of the doctorate degree describing it as a starting point in his career as an entrepreneur and pledged to do more for the country and encouraged all and sundry to develop entrepreneurial spirit that will push the nation forward.

"I would like to dedicate my honorary doctorate award to all who in diverse ways contributed to help me reach where I am today because without them I would have achieved my aims", he stated

He called on the university authorities to The University will have to expand its programmes to give the opportunity to many to have the alternative programmes they desire, while maintaining its ethos.

He furthered that in order to maintain its relevance to the world, the University will need to evolve by creating innovative programmes relevant to the times and aimed at resolving problems affecting humanity as a whole.

"An institution such as the Bishop Gilson University "UNITED KINGDOM also has an obligation to inculcate qualities such as a strong sense of ethics into its trainees", he remarked.
