GCB Bank PLC (GCB) has categorically denied any involvement in a purported investment scheme bearing its initials, GCB, saying it "has no affiliation whatsoever with any online investment platform operating under the name 'GCB Investments' or any similar variation."

According to the bank, "Any claims, promotions or representations linking GCB Bank PLC, GCB Capital Ltd. or its stakeholders to such platforms are false and misleading."

GCB Bank PLC has therefore cautioned the public to disregard what it termed as "fraudulent schemes" and avoid engaging with individuals or entities that make promises of unrealistic financial returns under the guise of GCB Bank's brand.

The denial, which comes after several individuals and businesses claimed to have invested in the scheme, which promised unusually high returns, was contained in a statement issued by the corporate affairs department of the bank.

GCB, which is one of the state-owned banks, assured its customers that it “remains committed to safeguarding your funds and providing you with secure, transparent, and regulated financial services.”

The statement directed customers who are uncertain about any investment or banking offer from GCB Bank PLC to verify directly with GCB Bank through its official website: www.gcbbank.com.gh, as well as its verified social media handles and nationwide branch network.

It further assured that the security and confidence of its customers remained a top priority while it continued to stand firm in protecting its customers against fraud.
