Samsung Electronics launched its latest Galaxy A smartphones that offer premium design and enhanced camera features at a colorful ceremony in Accra last Friday.
The Galaxy A (2017), which is available on the Ghanaian market, incorporates Samsung’s latest in innovative design and technology, giving consumers the ability to express their individuality with powerful performance in three screen size options: 5.5-inch for the A7, 5.2-inch for the A5 and 4.7-inch for the A3.

Tracy Kyei, Marketing Manager at Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA), in her remarks said, “At Samsung, we are committed to continued innovation, inspired by the feedback and needs of our wide range of consumers.

“With the introduction of the Galaxy A (2017), we took the consumer feedback on our original Galaxy A models and made thoughtful and impactful improvements offering consumers a seamless convergence of style, convenience and performance comparable to the most premium smartphones in the market today”.

The Galaxy A (2017) continues the latest Samsung Galaxy design heritage, combining metal and glass to create a beautifully harmonious premium design.

The new Galaxy A provides superior viewing experience with the narrower bezel.

Now the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2017) is protected by fingerprint verification, has IP68 that is water and dust resistant; 16MP in both the front and rear camera.

The Galaxy A series is a dual SIM phone and allows for two SIM cards plus a slot for a micro SD unlike the predecessor which only allows consumers an option to choose either a second SIM or SD card.

Another good feature of the Galaxy A is the secure folder which allows the consumer to have two separate WhatsApp accounts using both SIM cards.

This is reprieve for consumers who need to have two WhatsApp accounts for personal and business but would prefer to have one phone.

This feature is available on social media accounts using the secure folder.
