SIGA issues disclaimer over 'unauthorised' use of institutional identity

The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has denied any partnership or collaboration with CEO Network Ghana regarding the upcoming 10th Ghana CEO Summit & Expo.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, May 21, 2026, SIGA stated that it has “neither authorised nor entered into any formal partnership with CEO Network Ghana” in relation to the event.

The Authority said it had observed that CEO Network Ghana, also known as Chief Executives Network Ghana, had been presenting SIGA as a “collaborating partner” in promotional materials for the summit.

SIGA described the claim as false, stating that such representations are “unauthorised, misleading, and do not reflect any existing relationship or agreement” between the two institutions.

The Authority added that it had formally objected to the use of its name and institutional identity and requested the immediate removal of all related references from promotional platforms. However, it noted that the request had not been complied with, prompting the public disclaimer.

Citing its legal mandate, SIGA referenced the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (Act 990), stressing that it “upholds transparency, institutional integrity, and due process in all engagements and partnerships.”

It further clarified that “any use of the Authority’s name or logo in connection with external events must receive formal approval and be supported by a documented agreement,” adding that no such agreement exists for the CEO Summit.

SIGA has therefore urged the public, sponsors, prospective attendees, and exhibitors not to interpret the use of its name or logo in promotional materials as an endorsement or affiliation with the event.

The Authority also called on media houses and broadcasting platforms to take note of its disclaimer and avoid presenting SIGA as a partner or affiliated institution in relation to the summit.

SIGA reaffirmed its commitment to its statutory mandate and said it remains focused on “transparent, properly constituted engagements that support Ghana’s economic development agenda.”
