SIC board asks MD to proceed on leave

Starr News has gathered that the Managing Director of the State Insurance Company (SIC), Doris Awo Nkani has been asked by the Board to proceed on leave.

The reason for the directive is not clear yet.

Two managers of the company were arrested last month by the Police for allegedly embezzling $1.1 million and Ghc700,000 belonging to the company.

They include the Managing Director in charge of Finance and Administration, Musa Abdulai and Mr. Ken Acolatse who was the Head of Finance and Accounting.

Starr News’s checks reveal that the board has directed that Nkani hands over to Mr Kwei Mensah Asidan.
