Rural poor communities especially women are expected to benefit immensely from government's flagship initiative, One-District-One-Factory.

To this end, every district is expected to identify key economic potential in each constituency to make good of the one million dollars earmarked for the constituency.

At the inauguration and orientation of a ten member team for each region to oversee the Infrastructure Poverty Eradication Program, IPEP, at Dodowa, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said it is unacceptable that some communities still lack basic needs such as potable water and toilet facilities.

He said with the one million dollar, each constituency will be able to cater for its needs whiles creating jobs.

He reiterated government's vision of shared prosperity for all.

The Minister for Special Development Initiatives, Mavis Hawa Johnson said poverty can be reduce with a coherent strategy hence the creation of the ministry is aimed at achieving this.

The Chief of Staff who sworn in the members entreated them to being their expertise to bear to enable government to change the fortunes of the economy.
