Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA), David Tetteh-Amey Abbey has encouraged workers to lodge complaints against their employers when they realise that their monthly pension contributions are not being paid to the Authority.

He said the NPRA is “determined to secure the retirement income of workers by ensuring maximum compliance with all stakeholders made up of licensed trustees, service providers, employers and contributors in the new 3-tier Pension Scheme ecosystem”.

He also called on the media to support the Authority in its educational and sensitisation campaign among the informal sector especially, to bring them aboard the 3rd tier scheme.

He mentioned that the Authority had opened three zonal offices in Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi to help deepen awareness and the Authority’s visibility as well as to bring the administration closer to all stakeholders.

Mr Abbey was speaking at the opening ceremony of the 3rd Banking and Insurance Fair in Accra on Thursday, August 10.
