Accra, Feb 6, GNA - The Prudential Bank Ghana Limited is to introduce internet banking services to enable its customers to conduct financial transactions without visiting the normal banking halls. The bank also plans to introduce other electronic banking products such as debit and credit cards, e-payment, e-marketing in addition to its already existing electronic banking services to complement its traditional banking products to allow for easy access to banking services.
Mrs Mary Brown, Deputy Managing Director in charge of Operations, said this at the opening of the bank's 16th networked branch at Odorkor in Accra.
Mrs Brown said the unique position of the bank as an indigenous one enabled it to understand better the Ghanaian business environment and what needed to be done for economic development of the country. She said the bank would continue to provide financial assistance to industry as well as other development-oriented projects to help create employment and improve the socio-economic situations of Ghanaians.
She said apart from providing short and medium term loans as working capital for small and medium scale enterprises, the bank also places emphasis on providing financial assistance to fishing and cold-storage businesses, manufacturing, consumer loans and general commercial activities. 6 Feb. 09
