Tema Medal Golf tees off on Saturday

Tema, March 19, GNA 97 The Tema Country Golf Club Monthly Medal Championship for March tees off at Tema on Saturday, March 24. Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Club who announced this at Tema on Monday, said more than 100 golfers from Tema, Achimota, Ceberity and Bok Nam Kim Clubs are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play event.

He said the event, which is generating interest month after month, would be played under the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club. William Yeboah, Eric Henaku, Alex Fiagomey and Felix Owusu-Adjapong, all of the Tema Club have so far registered for the competition and have declared their intention of winning their first trophy of the year.

Golfers use medal competitions to sharpen their strokes for major events.

The next major event of the year will be the Bok Nam Kim Memorial Open which tees off on April 14.
