Oguaa hall resident wins UCC's inter- halls cross- country.

Cape Coast Nov. 16 GNA - Christopher Yarkwa of Oguaa Hall, came first in the University of Cape Coast University (UCC) men's inter halls cross country competition held on Saturday.

He was timed 55 minutes 22.5 seconds in the race, which covered a distance of 15 kilometres, and attracted a field of 37 competitors from the six halls of the university.

Mohadi Issaka of Valco Hall, came second with a time of 57 mins 32.4 secs, Mordecai Wiredu of Oguaa Hall was third with 57 mins 34.1 secs., John Arhin, Atlantic Hall placed fourth in 58 mins 35.7 secs, and Paul Owusu

Badu, another resident of Oguaa Hall took the fifth place with a time of 58 mins 45.9 seconds.

In the women's division, FAti Larley of Valco Hall clocked 46 mins, 11 seconds to win the race, which stretched 10 kilometres.

Audrey Owusu of Oguaa Hall came second in 56 min 45.1 seconds while Rita Ahenguah and Charlotte Diabor, both of Adehye Hall took the third and fourth positions respectively in 58 mins 35.5 secs, and 59 mins 59.2 secs and Obaa

Yaa Ankama of Valco Hall, placed fifth in an hour and 2 .9 seconds.

In the overall results of the men's competition, Valco Hall emerged the champions with 25 points, Oguaa Hall was second with 33 points while Adehye Hall placed third with 43 points, and Atlantic Hall came fourth with 61 points.

In the women's division, Oguaa Hall, was first with 51 points, Atlantic Hall was second with 56as New Hall took the third position with 89 and Casely Hayford Hall placed fourth with 168.
