Ghana's Parliament has approved Haruna Iddrisu, Kwame Governs Agbodza, and Eric Opoku as sector ministers for the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Roads and Highways, and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, respectively.
The nominees appeared before Parliament's Appointments Committee on Monday, January 20, 2025, to be vetted for their respective roles.
The 11-member Appointments Committee, chaired by the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Bernard Ahiafor, was tasked with thoroughly screening and scrutinizing the nominees to assess their readiness and capabilities to manage their respective ministries.
During the vetting process, the three nominees were questioned on various aspects of their respective sectors and the challenges those sectors currently face.
