P&G Company to create more jobs for Ghanaian youth

Accra, Sept. 15, GNA - Mr Soile Olumide, Country Manager of Procter and Gamble (P&G), a detergent company, has assured consumers that his outfi= t would come out with more products that would serve their needs and provide job opportunities. He said Pampers and Always sanitary pads, Ariel powdered soap, Gillette shaving blades and Oral B toothpaste, which are some of the brands of the company, have provided jobs for their retailers and had become household brands. Mr Olumide gave this assurance when the company launched a new produc= t "Safeguard bar soap" in Accra.

The product, which is meant for bathing and cleaning, has 175 and 80 gram sizes in pure white and lemon fresh colours. The Country Manager said the soap which can kill 99 percent of germs on human bodies could also protect users for 24 hours against bacteria. He said Ghana was the first destination of its launch and would spread to Senegal this week and Nigeria next month. The Country Manager said their products have been endorsed by the African Medical Association and are sold worldwide. Madam Diana Oforiwa- Yeboah, a retailer of P&G products told the Ghana News Agency that many of the market women in the country have benefited a lot, doing business with the company and called on other traders to patronise their products to maximize profit.
