The Managing Director of TDC Ghana Limited, Courage Nunukpeku, has announced that a transformational boost in house ownership in the country is expected following the launch of the Oxygen City Housing Project in Ho.

According to him, the era of inaccessible home ownership has ended.

Speaking at the sod-cutting on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Nunukpeku described the project as a redefined urban facility to provide access to quality and affordable housing.

He noted that the project aligns with the government’s development priorities, including the reset agenda and the strengthening of the Volta Corridor, adding that job creation has already begun for host communities.

"Since the restructuring of TDC Ghana Limited, we have been mandated to not only manage the Tema acquisition area but to expand our vision, our expertise as Ghana's development frontier beyond Tema into regions with potential," he said.

Spanning 1,860 acres in Adaklu in the Volta Region, Nunukpeku highlighted a strong drive for investment, tourism, and world-class regional development contributing to the country's economic transformation.

"This project will attract industries along the Eastern Corridor Roads, expand housing supply, promote tourism, and strengthen healthcare infrastructure. It's a conduit for investment and long-term economic growth," he added.

For his part, President John Dramani Mahama assured that the completed housing units will be priced in local currency rates, making homeownership more accessible to Ghanaians.
