Onga, Ghana’s market leader in food seasoning is set to break the Guinness world record with the longest feast table that will serve over 3000 Ghanaians.

Currently, the record for the longest feast table is 1508 meters i.e. over 1.5 kilometres which they attempt to beat.

The event, which is scheduled for the 25th of March at the Independence Square forms part celebrations to mark Ghana's 60th anniversary and to also promote Ghana’s culture through entertainment.

Speaking at a press briefing, the Sales and Marketing Director of Promasidor Ghana, marketers of the onga product, Timo Van Vooren said the celebration is not only to break the world record but also to thank Ghanaians for making Onga Shrimp tablets the number one seasoning brand in the country.

He said the over 3000 people will include people from all aspects of life, orphans and those deprived in the society.

According to Guinness World Records, the table needs to be ‘one unit’ and to achieve that an experiential company has been contracted to construct a table that complies with Guinness World Record rules and qualifies for the longest table feast ever.
