OneTouch Bosss Resigns

.. off to CELTEL as Managing Director

The Chief Officer of ONE TOUCH, mobile wing of Ghana Telecom, has resigned. Mr. Philip Sowah had his last day at the office on Tuesday. Citi FM’s sources say he made the exit despite an outstanding one month prior notice.

Corporate Affairs Manager of Ghana Telecom, Major (rtd), Albert Don Chebe says his exit was made much shorter in the mutual interest of the parties involved. Meanwhile, Citi FM can confirm that Mr. Philip Sowah has landed a new job at CELTEL as Managing Director. CELTEL, which took over WESTEL communications, is expected to begin operations by the end of the first quarter of 2008. It is expected that Mr. Sowah, who has worked in several countries, including the USA, will bring a wealth of experience to CELTEL.

In a related development, Mr. Johnnie Annor Quashie has taken over as Chief Officer of ONE TOUCH following the exit of Mr. Sowah.

Before his elevation, Mr. Annor Quarshie was the General Manager in charge of Sales and Distribution for ONE TOUCH. He has worked with One Touch since 2000.
