The 16th edition of the Ghana Club 100 Awards night ceremony organized by Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) in Accra last Thursday 30th December, 2017 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel featured Ghana’s top 100 companies.

Nordea Capital Ltd, after a successful nomination was listed as the number “8 member of Ghana Club 100”. Among the awards presented, Nordea also emerged winner in the category of the “Best New Entrant Company” and the “Fastest Growing Company”

This year’s edition of the awards that ranks and celebrates the top 100 companies in the country, was under the theme; “Industrialization; a tool for job creation and accelerated economic Development.”

In attendance were Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo, who represented President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo; Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori Atta; Minister for Business Development, Mohammed Awal and Governor of Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Addison.

In an address, Mr Marfo said initiatives introduced by government this year had stabilised the economy and increased the country’s business confidence which was previously low. Mr Marfo also charged the private sector to play their part in the country’s development through the payment of their taxes to enable the government, in turn, create the needed environment for them.

Chief Executive Officer of GIPC, Mr Yofi Grant, in his welcome address noted that running a business in the country required extra effort and praised companies who made it to the top 100 for their tenacity.

He said government, through a number of reforms, had put the economy onto a stable sustainable irreversible track for growth adding that GIPC would continue to introduce more innovations to accelerate the growth of businesses.
