Noble Appiah Appointed Managing Director of MMT

The Ministry of Transport has in line with a directive from the Presidency appointed Mr. Noble Appiah as the new Managing Director of the Metro Mass Transit (MMT).

Mr. Appiah takes over from Mr. Maxwell Awuku.

Until his appointment Mr. Noble Appiah was the Executive Director of the National Road Safety Commission.

A statement signed and released yesterday by Kobla Kudoto, Media Lison Officer of the Ministry of Transport said the Deputy Managing Director of the MMT, Mr. Martin Afram has also been directed to report at the Ministry for re-assignment.

Mr. John Awuku Dzuazah has been appointed the new Deputy Managing Director of the MMT.

All the appointments will take effect from June, 17th, 2013.

The Ministry expressed its appreciation to the two men for their contribution to the Company in the last four years.

During the National Thanksgiving and Prayer Service, the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama announced that government in the coming weeks was going to make major changes in the public sector and pleaded that when such changes are made, they be accepted wholeheartedly
