Nigeria's Oando to develop Ghana's natgas sector

Nigerian energy firm Oando said on Sunday it was selected as a partner to develop Ghana's natural gas infrastructure from its offshore Jubilee oilfields, a project worth $1 billion.

Oando said it was among three foreign energy companies selected to work with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) to build gas pipelines, processing facilities and liquefied petroleum gas and storage tanks.

"The choice of Oando ... creates an opportunity for us to extend the success recorded in building Nigeria's gas distribution pipeline system to other parts of West Africa," said the firm's Chief Executive Wale Tinubu in a statement.
