Car owners and motorists should brace themselves for an increase in petroleum product prices beginning December 1, 2025, as the first pricing window of the month takes effect.

According to the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC) in its latest monthly pricing outlook report, the price of petrol is expected to increase between 1.97% to 3.30%.

Diesel is also expected to increase between 2.85% to 5.15% , while Liquified Petrol Gas (LPG) would also see an increase of 3.10% per kilogram.

With this, consumers should expect petrol to sell at GH¢12.91 per litre, GH¢13.37 for diesel and GH¢13.80 for LPG.

COMAC attributes the upward adjustments to two key factors: a surge in the cost of finished petroleum products on the international market and the recent depreciation of the cedi against the US dollar.

The report noted, “The cedi depreciated marginally from GH¢10.94 to GH¢11.14, marking a 1.76% depreciation.”

Data compiled by COMAC further showed that during the previous pricing window:

- Petrol rose by 1.26%.

- Diesel increased by 2.28%.

- LPG edged up slightly by 0.07%.

Looking ahead, diesel prices are expected to climb further, driven largely by uncertainties surrounding product availability.
