Indian High Commissioner visits ACP

Accra, Oct. 5, GNA 96 Mr Rajesh Nandon Prasad, Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, on Thursday visited the African Concrete Product (ACP) company ahead of a conclave New Delhi is holding for some 25 African countries from October 8 to October10, 2006 to enable them to share expertise and ideas.

The conclave would also strengthen the relationship between Indian technological resources departments and departments in Africa. ACP is among African companies participating in the conclave. Mr Prasad toured the two manufacturing plants of the Company and noted that ACP had been at the forefront of concrete products manufacturing in Ghana and expressed happiness about their participation in the conclave in India.

Mr Carl Richards, Managing Director of ACP, commend the Indian High Commissioner for the visit and said ACP had introduced hollow blocks, pavers and concrete roof tile in Ghana. He said the Company would continue to set the pace and provide benchmarks for the building industry in Ghana and beyond.
