National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) inducts new executives

President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), Nana Dr. Appiagyei Dankawoso I reckons private sector growth and development in the country has seen a progressive march with the chamber’s support adding its neutral stance has enabled it work with successive governments including the Akufo-Addo regime.

He however urged the central bank to be vigilant of the activities of commercial banks in the country especially regarding the composition margins on facilities given to varied customers as huge charges on loans accessed from banks remain a burden on business entities.

“The Chamber will be embarking on sensitization programmes for the business community and the general public to demand facility letters that capture details of the margins or spread to inform their actions”, he declared.

The businessman and chief made the submission on Wednesday, February 27 when a new Council and Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) was inducted into office.

The Council comprises the elected National Officers – President, first and second Vice Presidents, and a representative selected by each branch chamber while the CEC includes the National Officers, Regional Chairmen of the branch chambers and co-opted seasoned business men and women who have distinguished themselves in their field of work.
