The National Communications Authority (NCA) has been honoured by the Head of States Awards (HOSA) for the Authority’s commitment to support programmes that are geared towards developing and inspiring the youth.

The NCA supported the institution during the 13th edition of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Forum in Accra, which was focused on solving some of the greatest challenges faced by today’s youth under the theme “The future lies in the youth of today.”

The Executive Director of HOSA, Mr. Peter Akai Anum, expressed his gratitude to the NCA for the immense support given to HOSA to enable them host the forum.

Mr. Anum stated that feedback from majority of the delegates who attended the event indicate that the Forum hosted in Ghana was the best so far which could be attributed to our cultural diversity and the inclusion of youth development programmes to the event.

He indicated that the Forum would not have been a success without NCA’s support.

The Director-General of the NCA, Mr. Joe Anokye, in his response expressed his appreciation to the executives and members of HOSA for honouring the Authority.

Mr. Anokye indicated the Authority supported the forum because it is the recognition of the country as a beacon of hope as well as a symbol of positive youth development and it is also in line with the Authority’s practice of building capacity amongst the youth.
