Barring any setbacks, the Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, is expected to present the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
The presentation, in accordance with Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution, will outline the government's plans for the 2026 fiscal year.
The budget will detail how much the government intends to spend in 2026, its policy priorities, and the macroeconomic framework.
The government has already indicated that the 2026 Budget will focus on job creation, economic expansion, the Big Push Agenda, among other key initiatives.
Dr Ato Forson engages workers and smallholder farmers ahead of 2026 Budget
Ahead of the budget presentation, Dr Ato Forson has been engaging market women at the Takoradi Market Circle, as well as workers and smallholder farmers at the Benso Oil Palm Plantation in the Western Region.
The working visit emphasised the government's commitment to linking agricultural resource development with national economic stability and employment targets.
According to him these engagements form part of the government's broader efforts to ensure that the 2026 Budget reflects the realities, hopes, and expectations of all Ghanaians.
