The Convener of The TrueLife Experience, Dedo Kofi, has underscored the need for a national mindset shift to support the government’s 24-hour economy initiative.
She said a change in how Ghanaians think about work, productivity, and leadership is essential if the country is to fully benefit from the policy’s potential to create jobs and boost growth.
Speaking with the media in Accra last week, Kofi explained that many of the country’s social and economic challenges are rooted in deep-seated attitudes and limiting cultural beliefs that must be addressed for sustainable development to occur.
24-Hour Economy is a business revolution, not just extended working hours – Mahama
“For the 24-hour economy to work, we need a change in mindset. The mind is the engine that drives how we operate. If we learn to harness its power, we can drive change in a way that surprises even us,” she said.
She said The TrueLife Experience, a leadership and personal development initiative, aims to help individuals rethink their perspectives, build resilience, and embrace excellence as a national value.
The two-day summit, scheduled for November 20–21 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra, will bring together leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and policymakers to explore how thought patterns influence leadership, innovation, and nation-building.
Under the theme “The Power of the Mind,” the 2025 edition seeks to equip participants with insights and strategies to unlock personal and collective potential.
According to the organisers, the initiative aligns with the government’s productivity agenda under the Aspire 24 framework and supports the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting inclusive leadership, mental well-being, and sustainable progress.
The event will feature keynote addresses, expert panels, and breakout sessions, and will climax with the TrueLife Honours & Legacy Dinner, where individuals and organisations making positive societal impact will be recognised.
