Mills sets up Economic Advisory Council

Accra, April 28, GNA - President John Evans Atta Mills has constituted a 10-member Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to advice him on key economic policy issues and policy options in managing the impact of the current global and domestic economic challenges and maximizing the full potentials of existing opportunities.

A statement signed by Mr Mahama Ayariga, Presidential Spokesperson, said "the EAC in its work, shall collaborate closely with existing institutions for economic policy formulation, development and implementation".

The EAC is under the chairmanship of Dr. Gobind Nankani. Members are Togbe Afede XIV, Prof. K. N. Afful, Dr. Emmanuel Ablo, Mr. Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur and Dr. K. Y. Amoako. The rest are Mr. Joel Hyde, Dr. Cadman Atta Mills, Mr. Ishmael Yamson and Mr. Fred Ohene Kena.
