Mediamark provokes thought with launch of In The KNOW NOW

The last Mediamark Thought Leader client engagement event, recently held at the Moka’s Café in Labone, was indeed one that turned up to be even more packed with exciting activities and thought-provoking learnings than the previous ones, as the event marked the launch of Mediamark’s ‘In the KNOW NOW’ in Ghana.

This is an online skills development and knowledge sharing platform created by Mediamark, to assist media professionals as the release of new research data and an evolving research landscape brings significant change to Africa’s media buying world.

The In The KNOW NOW platform was first launched in South Africa in March this year, and will now be extending into Ghana to help both seasoned professionals and young talent alike, acquire the skills and expertise they need to thrive in this changing environment. It will offer workshops, webinars and learning materials across most media channels and platforms brands use today, starting with radio and then expanding into digital and television.

Speaking at the event was Mr. Werner Lindemann, Managing Director for Mediamark, stated “We have spent a lot of time, research and analytics developing these modules to ensure we are equipping media and marketing professionals with the tools they need to remain on top of their game.”

“We’re excited about this initiative to provide strategic direction to marketing and media professionals and equip them with the right tools to successfully get the best tangible results from their customer’s media spend,” said Lindemann. “We are hoping to play a role in ensuring that the industry has a strong pool of skills for the future.”

Werner Lindemann was also the main speaker for the event, and addressed guests on the topic ‘the Connected Consumer’. Other speakers were Mr. Mervyn Naidu, General Manager of Mediamark Ghana, as well as Brenya Bampoe, DJ Advicer and Akosua Hanson who showcased three of the media brands which Mediamark represents in the Ghanaian market – e.TV Ghana, Happy FM and YFM respectively.

The event also revealed the extension of LAB 42 (Mediamark’s creative arm) to Ghana, as well as the introduction of Mr. Edward Entee, the new Business Development Manager for the company.

In the Ghanaian market, Mediamark has come to be known for their innovative client engagement activities, exceptional systems, unique approach to identifying clients’ needs, and coming up with creative multi-channelled solutions for them. The Thought Leader Series, another Mediamark First, is just one of such activities and promises to be the beginning of even more exciting things in the coming years.
