Management changes at Bank of Ghana

The Bank of Ghana announces changes in its top hierarchy.

Announcing the changes, the Governor of the central bank, Mr Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, told reporters that Dr. Ernest Addison, who is the Director of Research, has been replaced by his deputy Mrs Grace Akrofi.

Dr Addison goes on secondment to the African Development Bank (AfDB) for a year, Mr Amissah-Arthur said.

According to the governor, Dr Benjamin Amoah, who was the Director of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) now takes office as the Head of Financial Stability Department of the Bank and Professor Kofi Nti, a government nominee from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning has been replaced by Dr John Kwakye.

Professor Nti who has worked with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is a Senior Fellow at the University of Ghana Business School.
